As you load a bag into the car, you run the list one more time through your head, making sure you didn't forget anything. Your collapsible wagon, check. Cooler with your favorite snack, check. A reclining beach chair, check. A colorful beach umbrella, check. A couple of those delicious drinks you like, check. Your reusable thermos with ice-cold water, check. A good book, check. You're ready.
You cruise on over to your favorite sandwich shop and pick up the scrumcious sub you ordered for lunch. You gently place your sandwich into your adorable beach bag, right next to the beach towel and SPF 50. You bring your sunglasses back down to shade your eyes from the glorious, beaming sun and head down to your favorite spot on the sand. You arrived early, so you find a prime spot just near the beach entrance. You load up your wagon and make the short trek. As you reach the sand, your sandals slip off. You feel the warm, soft sand with your bare feet. You set up your umbrella and chair just near the water's edge. You sit down, close your eyes, tilt your head back, and allow the sun's rays to wash over you. You smell the salty ocean water. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore calms every fiber of your being. You feel at peace and grateful for this moment. You pull out your book and get lost in the pages. This surely is paradise, right in your own backyard.
